HUNDREDS TURN OUT TO SUPPORT UNDER ATTACK DOVE HOUSE

Dove House supportSEVERAL hundred people turned out yesterday afternoon in support of Dove House Meenan in Derry ‘s Bogside.

They lent their support following a call to arms from the Meenan Square premises which was subjected to two arson attacks within the space of 48 hours.

Derry Trades Union Council rowed in with their support along with Rosemount Resource Centre.

RRC said after the rally: “Grea turn out today in support of Dove House.

“The attacks on Dove House are an attack on the community.

“We in Rosemount Resource Centre offer our full support to Dove House.

“But we must not forget it was the young people who put the fire out on Thursday night.

“They must be congratulated for this.”

Sinn Fein Foyle MLAs Martin McGuinness and Raymond McCartney also showed solidarity with Dove House Meena.

Mr McCartney said: “We stand together in “anger and defiance”!

“Peacefully and in the interest of us all! Standing Up for Dove House.”
