Ballymagroarty drugs 1 BALLYMAGROARY Community Empowerment say it has uncovered empty prescription drug packets following a search of a local forest.

The group was recently set up by local residents following a rise in anti-social behaviour in the area by young people.

Concerns had been raised about ongoing car crime and drug dealing in the area.

BCE said on its Facebook page: “We got reports last night that there was youths that had been seen on occasions coming in and out of the forest area at Mangan court.

“A few residents went to have a look. This is what we had found its alot of empty prescription drugs packets.

“That light at the top of one of the pictures is holy family school in the background.

“They were not found like this we gathered them together to highlight how close the school is to this.

“The fact that young children would play in this small forest area including my own children and there friends.

“We lifted what we could find we will check the area in daylight in case we missed anything.”
