ULSTER MINOR FOOTBALL FINAL: BRAVE DERRY BEATEN BY TWO POINTS IN CLONES CLASH WITH DONEGAL

Derry v Donegal minor finalTHERE was disappointment for Derry this afternoon in the Ulster Minor Football Championship final at Clones (throw in 12 pm).

The Oak Leaf minors went down by two points to Donegal ahead of the big game of the day with Donegal taking on Tyrone in the senior football final.

The game was enthralling to the end, a late Devlin goal for Derry ensuring a nervous finish for Donegal.

At the final whistle the scoreline was Derry 1-11 to Donegal’s 2-10.

The Derry lads did their county proud and put in a great performance.

But in the end they didn’t get the breaks they needed to close down the gap.

It was still a fantastic achievement getting to the final and the boys should feel very proud of their work rate and performance.
