FIRE crews were called out tonight to deal with a burning car in Derry.

It is the latest incident of anti-social behaviour across Derry in which vehicles have been stolen and set on fire by roaming gangs of youths.

The Vauxhall Astra car was found on fire on the Carnhill Road at Carnhill Primary School.

Up to five youths were spotted running away from the vehicle.

Galliagh Community Empowerment, who were holding a protest this evening about ongoing anti-social behaviour in the area, released these photos on its Facebook page.

A GCE statement said: “Car on fire at Carnhill Primary School.

“Has anyone seen this car about or know who owns it?

“Five  youths seen running away with hoods up.”
