PEOPLE in the south of Ireland don’t seem to realise how near Northern Ireland is.

But following the success of ‘Game of Thrones’, thousands of fans are flocking to the North of Ireland from the US and as far away as Japan.

You can now visit over 20 ‘Game Of Thrones’ film locations in the North.

In his latest show, travel journalist Ed Finn is much closer to home than usua.

He explores the North of Ireland in Never Been North, a brand new TV3 special.

It takes viewers on a spectacular journey from the historic and lively walled city of Derry to hiking the majestic mountains of Mourne in Co. Down.

Ed visits Royal Portrush Golf Club, meets the master distiller at Bushmills Distillery, and climbs the 60 million year old Giant’s Causeway.

Featuring Belfast’s famous Titanic story and Billy Scott’s witty and informative black taxi tour, Ed discovers how the North of today has come to embrace the miracle of peace.

He samples some of Belfast’s lively nightlife and drives through the “Dark Hedges” made famous by the seriesGame of Thrones.

There are now over twenty Game Of Thrones experiences available for fans of the show throughout Northern Ireland.

If you have “Never Been North” before, discover the highlights of this ancient land right on our doorstep in this unique 30-minute special documentary for TV3.

‘Never been North’ airs Friday (27th May) at 8.30 pm on TV3
