MARY MCLAUGLIN DEATH: DETECTIVES NO LONGER TREATING IT AS ‘SUSPICIOUS’

PSNI crestDETECTIVES have ruled any suspicious activity that lead to the a woman in Co Derry.

This follows the results of a post mortem examination which was carried out today.

A 62-year-old man was arrested after the death of Mary McLaughlin in Claudy.

Detectives were called in after the death of the mother of two at a house on the Glenshane Road was reported around 4.30 am yesterday, Saturday, April 16.

Ms McLaughlin was originally from Dungiven.

As a result of the post mortem examination, Detective Chief Inspector Michael Harvey said: “A man arrested following the death has been released unconditionally.”
