WELL done to Ebrington Primary School for reaching the final of the BBC Radio Ulster Junior Choir.

Despite their best efforts, the Derry school was pipped as winners by St Patrick’s Primary School in Rathfriland, Co Down.

Runner up in the category was Holy Family Primary School in Omagh, Co Tyrone.

In the senior category, Dalriada School in Ballymoney, Co Antrim took the top prize.

New Bridge Integrated College, Loughbrickland, Co Down was runner up in the senior category.

Sixty-five choirs had battled over the course of nine weeks for a place in the final at Belfast’s Ulster Hall.

Six finalists performed two songs each in Sunday’s final, which was broadcast live on BBC Radio Ulster.
