Missing Strabane man Sean ‘Smurf” Diver

THE brother of missing Strabane man Sean ‘Smurf’ Diver has made an appeal for him to ‘come home’.

In a direct message to ‘Smurf’,  brother Mark Diver said on a video posted on social media: “Please come home. You are not in any bother at all.

“Please get in contact with somebody, anybody.  Please come home. Everybody misses you.

“Our main priority is that you come home safe. Just to let us know that you are still out there. Please, come home.”

The video appeal was recorded by the PSNI in Strabane, with Mark Diver saying that the family just want to know that Sean is alright.

The 39-year-old was reported missing last Wednesday, January 27

‘Smurf’ and was last seen in the Townsend Street area at around 10pm.

Police searched the River Mourne in Co Tyrone last Thursday after reports that a person may have fallen into the water.

But the searches turned up nothing and police are continuing to look for him and follow up any possible sightings.

‘Smurf’ is described as being around 5 foot 7 inches, with a slim build and brown hair.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the 101 non-emergency number.
