DETECTIVES are investigating after a man was seriously injured in Derry last night.
The man was first taken to the accident and emergency department at Altnagelvin Hospital.
But due to the seriousness of his injuries he was transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital in west Belfast to be treated by specialists highly trained in critical injuries.
Crime scene investigators are currently at Pitchers Wine Bar and Restaurant at Foyle Golf Club.
The area around the club on Alder Road in the Ballyarnett area is currently sealed off while the scene is examined.
