DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Terrorist Investigation Unit probing offences committed at the wake and funeral of Peggy O’Hara in Derry last July have released a 53 year old man.

The suspect was detained yesterday in the city under section 41 of the Terrorism Act.

He was been taken to the serious crime suite at Musgrave PSNI in Belfast for questioning.

Police say the man has now been released unconditionally.

His arrest brought to 16 the number of men and women arrested and questioned about the paramilitary funeral.

Mrs O’Hara was the mother of Patsy O’Hara, an INLA prisoner who died in the Maze prison while on hunger strike over 30 years ago.
