DERRY Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid and Courteney Cox have reportedly split up.

It brings to an end their 18-month engagement.

The couple got engaged in 2014 after a few months of dating and have so far avoided confirming any wedding dates – but they were expected to get hitched in Ireland or LA by the end of this year.

The pair are believed to have quietly split up a month ago.

Celebrity gossip magazine HollywoodLife has reported that the couple were “fighting a lot, about everything”.

They revealed: “They were going to counseling because they were having issues and fighting a lot, about everything.

“Johnny just decided he wanted to separate.

“He hasn’t really given a reason, but mainly said he wants to focus on his music and can’t take the fighting.”

Johnny has now reportedly moved out of their shared Malibu home following the break-up.

HolywoodLife is reporting that 51-year-old Friends and Scream actress Cox is “truly just miserable” about how quickly the split happened.

They said: “She is really depressed about it … extremely upset about.

“She truly is just miserable about it.”

Johnny, 39, was introduced to the Cox by mutual pal Ed Sheeran.

The Scream actress previously said she was not in a hurry to walk down the aisle with the guitarist.

Earlier this year, she was reported as saying: “‘Johnny and I are still in the planning stage, although Coco (her nine-year-old daughter) wants to be a wedding planner and has taken over!

“We’re in no rush but we’d like to do it sometime soon… more for Coco as she can’t wait to be a bridesmaid.”
