Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Co. Donegal.

The collision occurred at approximately 2.30pm when two cars collided on the N13 Derry to Letterkenny Road at Moyle near Newtowncunningham.

A male and female aged in their 30s were pronounced dead at the scene.

A third male was taken by Ambulance to Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry. The local coroner has been notified. At least one northern registered vehicle was involved.

Gardaí and the emergency services are currently at the scene, the road is closed and diversions are in place. Garda forensic collision investigators have been requested to examine the scene.
