THE Fire Service say an 82 year old man was taken to hospital for a checkup after a fire broke out at his home yesterday.
The blaze broke out at a detached house on the Carrickatane Road near Dunamanagh, Co Tyr0ne.
An aerial appliance was also requested to attend to deal with the fire in the roofspace of the building.
Resources from Derry’s Northland Road and Crescent Link stations attended the incident.
