Cllr duffy post officeSINN Féin Councillor Sandra Duffy has welcomed the news that the Galliagh Post Office has been chosen to be one of the Post Offices new Main style branches.

Councillor Duffy said:

“It is welcome news for residents of the greater Galliagh area, that the long established Post Office on Fairview Road will now get a revamp to make it one of the new Main style branches.

“The change is part of a major investment and support programme, the largest undertaken in the history of the Post Office, which will see 8,000 branches converting to new style branches. And additional investment in over 3,000 community and outreach branches.

“Consumers can expect a newly refurbished branch providing a modern environment for customers, the same products and services and longer opening hours.

2The new look Post Office on Fairview Road  is expected to open on Friday 20 November 2015 at 13:00.

“Customers should be aware that the office will close for seven days from Wednesday 11 November 2015 at 5.30 pm so the refurbishment can take place.”
