Derek Sheerin was found death in Glasgow 21 years ago
DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team have arrested a man in Derry today over a death in Glasgow 21 years ago.
The 39-year-old suspect was detained in the city on Tuesday morning as part of a Police Scotland investigation into the death of Derek Sheerin.
The 24-year-old was found dead in the east end of Glasgow in September 1994.
The suspect has Nbeen flown to Glasgow for questioning.
Detective Chief Inspector Michael Harvey from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team has appealed to people in Derry who have any information about the death to contact detectives at Maydown PSNI station on the 101 non-emergency number 101.
