ROADWORKSMOTORISTS are being advised that work is due to get underway tomorrow on a £180,000 resurfacing near in Co Derry.

The carriageway and hard shoulder resurfacing scheme at Knockloughrim on the A6 Glenshane Road will take place between the Hillhead Road and the Ballynahone Road on Wednesday, September 30.

The work is expected to take around four weeks to complete.

Traffic flow will be maintained on the Glenshane Road during this period to help minimise any inconvenience to the travelling public and local businesses two-way

However, to facilitate the final surfacing it will be necessary to restrict access onto the Glenshane Road from the adjacent side roads at Hillhead Road, Derganagh Road and Ballynahone Road over a period of five days.

Signage advising of the timing of the side road closures will be erected in advance of the closures.

Signed diversion routes will also be in operation during the period of the closures.
