Police crime scene picDETECTIVES are appealing for information about three weekend burglaries in Co Derry.

All the burglaries took place in Limavady.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Neely said that last Saturday evening owners of a house at Whitehill Park in returned to find it had been burgled through a rear window.

A small sum of money was stolen by thieves.

Then the same night residents of a house at Mount Eden found it had been broken into while they were out.

DC Neely said cash and jewellery was taken.

In a third incident residents returned to their home at Whitehill Park in the early hours of Saturday to find their home had been broken into.

Burglars are believed to have been in the house a short time beforehand and may well have been disturbed.

A number of pieces of jewellery were stolen.

DC Neely added: “We would like to hear from any witnesses of suspicious activity in the area around the late Saturday evening or early Sunday morning period.”

Information can be given to the police on the 101 non-emergency number.

Or alternatively information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on freephone 0800 555 111.
