POLICE are appealing for information about the theft of a mechanical digger in Co Derry.

The PSNI say officers received a report that a digger had been stolen from a building site at Cumber Road in Claudy sometime after 5 pm on Tuesday, September 8.

“The machine stolen is a Hitachi EX30 mini digger. It has caterpillar tracks and a trailer or low loader was probably used to take it from the site,” said investigating officer Constable McClay.

Anyone with information can be given on the police 101 non-emergency number.

Or alternatively they can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
