POLICE are investigating the theft of Union flags in Co Derry in the early hours of this morning.
Police received a report just after 3 am that four union flags had been removed from the Diamond area of Kilrea and four flag poles damaged
Inspector Mick Wood said, “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the theft or anyone with any information to contact officers at Coleraine on the non-emergency number 101. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
