THERE is a security alert this morning which has forced police to evacuate a number of homes.
Police say Army Technical Officer are currently examining a suspicious object at Glenrandel in Eglinton.
The road has been closed while the scene is scrutinised by ATO.
As a result, the Foyle arena on the Limavady Road is open for residents who have had to leave their homes.
It could be several hours before they are allowed to return.
