CRIME ALERT: EXPENSIVE TOOLS STOLEN FROM WATER WORKS

DETECTIVES say a generator, a power saw and a power washer running to several thousand pounds have been stolen from a construction site.

The items were taken overnight from the Letterkenny Road water treatment works on the outskirts of Derry.

PSNI Inspector Les Craig has appealed for help in trying to trace the stolen equipment which could be sold on the black market for a fraction of their price.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts or have been offered them for sale is asked to contact police on the 101 non emergency number.
