Mark Timlin openedthe scoring for Derry City in their 3-0 win over Edenderry Town

DERRY City are into the fourth round of the FAI Irish Daily Mail Cup.

They won three nil this afternoon at Paddy Maloney Park in Co Offaly.

Mark Timlin opened the scoring on 40 mins to give the Candystripes a 1-0 lead at half time.

On 53-minutes Ryan Curran made it two nil against Edenderry Town.

Sean Houston made it three goals to the good on 84 minutes to seal the win and send Brian Hutton’s team into the fourth round.

This Friday coming it is back to the SSE Airtricty league for the Candystripes.

They are at home to St Patrick’s Athletic at the Brandywell.

Kick off is 7.45 pm.
