SINN Fein deputy first minister Martin McGuinness has warned of the dangers if David Cameron’s Conservatives regaining power after next month’s general election.

A poll out this evening put the Tories six points ahead of David Milliband’s Labour Party with just over three weeks until voters go to the polls.

But in the Assembly today, Mr McGuinnes said every time he had asked the Prime Minister about a £30 billion budget cut, he could never get a straight answer from him.

The Sinn Fein MLA said the cuts would hit the most vulnerable and disadvantaged in the North if the Tories get back into power.

“So my message to the Assembly today is this: Be afraid, be very afraid if the Tories get back into power.”
