TEMPERATURES in the North West could top 15C this week – as children enjoy a week off school.
And the good news is that the calm and settled weather is expected to last for the vast majority of the week as a high pressure weather system settles over Ireland.
The Met Office says there is only a slight chance of rain over the next five days.
It will be mainly cloudy, but there will be very little wind – and when the sun does break through it will send temperatures soaring.
Weather.com is forecasting temperatures of 17C on Monday, with 16C for the next few days. It will be next Friday before there’s a chance of some showers before more sunshine next Saturday.
Meanwhile Gardai in Co Donegal say motorists should expect delays on main roads throughout the holiday period.
They have also asked people to slow down.
A woman in her 20s is still in hospital in Belfast after being injured in a crash in Fahan yesterday after being transferred from Altnagelvin.
