Today and yesterday officials from the Communications Workers Union (CWU) visited Firstsource call-centres in Belfast (Oyster House) and Derry again
to offer support and representation to the First Source call-centre workers.

Lawrence C.Huston CWU Regional Secretary for Northern Ireland; said: “The message to Firstsource workers is simply this – Our officials will be on hand to support and represent you”.

“The workers in Firstsource most certainly wish to join the CWU and we now call on Firstsource management to meet with us to agree a joint way
forward which will improve the working environment for the benefit of both our members and the company.”

Gerry Robertson CWU Field Organiser said: “It is both encouraging and somewhat worrying to meet so many workers in need of trade union representation, hopefully we can get them organised.”
