Healthwise Pharmacy in Newtoncunningham was ram raided late last night.

Gardaí believe a jeep found abandoned in Derry may have been the vehicle used during the raids which occurred overnight.

Gardaí are working closely with PSNI officers to establish whether or not the vehicle in question was used during the incidents.

Healthwise Pharmacy in Newtoncunningham was ram raided just after midnight as was reported on Donegal Daily late last night.

There were also a number of cars badly damaged that were parked outside Healthwise Pharmacy.

However, just twenty minutes after that initial incident Matt’s Takeaway in Killea was also ram raided.

There was significant damage done to the Healthwise Pharmacy building during the ram raid.

However, the thieves involved didn’t manage to gain entry to the building.

They did make entry into Matt’s Takeaway in Killea and stole a till that had a small amount of cash in it.

The shutter at the popular food outlet was also badly damaged as was the premises CCTV system.

PSNI officers and are asking anyone who ,may have noticed anything suspicious around the time of the incidents to come forward.
