Wigan Athletic’s James McClean could be on the way to Hull City.

Hull City manager Steve Bruce who signed McClean for Sunderland from Derry City in 2011 is keen to acquire the services of the talented Republic of Ireland international.

McClean has impressed for Wigan in recent months and that has resulted in him becoming on the radar of Steve Bruce as he desperately seeks to divert Hull City away from the danger zone.

Sources close to both clubs have acknowledged that talks are being held and both clubs are attempting to thrash out a deal that suits both parties.

The deadline closes tonight at midnight and McClean will keen on a move back to the Premier League.

We’ll have more on this story as more details emerge throughout the course of the day.
