PEOPLE in Derry and Strabane are taking the opportunity to find out more about the new Derry City and Strabane District Council at a series of Community and Planning Information Meetings taking place across the district.

They are being hosted by Chief Executive Officer of the new super-council John Kelpie.

The meetings are taking place at community centres in 12 key locations spread throughout both urban and rural areas.

The council says that it offers the chance for citizens to find out what the new council has to offer in terms of services and any changes to existing council structures which may directly impact communities.

For further information and to register for any of these events go to www.derrycityandstrabanedistrict.com or contact 028 71 365151 Ext 6804.
