JOHN STREET UPDATE: PSNI ISSUE URGENT TRAFFIC APPEAL

JOHN STREET UPDATE: The PSNI have issues an urgent appeal to motorists asking them to avoid the City Centre.

A PSNI spokesperson said, “Due to the on-going incident at John Street we’re asking motorists travelling between the cityside and waterside of Derry to use the Foyle Bridge due to traffic congestion in the John Street and Craigavon Bridge areas.

Police are still trying to resolve an incident which has been on-going since 2.30pm this afternoon.

There are huge fears over the safety of a man who is standing at the top of a block of flats in the John Street area.
