There are concerns for a number of people after what appears to be a serious three car crash on the outskirts of Derry City this evening.

The crash happened after 7pm at the junction of the Braehead and Letterkenny Road.

The crash, which involved a taxi and two other cars, was spread over a very wide distance.

The emergency services including ambulance personnel and the PSNI rushed to the scene.

It is not known how seriously injured those involved are.

An eye-witnes told Derry Daily “It looked pretty bad. It had just happened when we came across it. It appeared that all three cars had collided into eachother and there was at least 200 yards between two of the cars.

“I hope everyone involved is okay but it looked pretty bad.”
