UPDATED: All bus services in Derry City and surrounding country areas have been suspended because of the heavy snow.

The 212 Derry to Belfast service has now also been suspended.

Limavady Council has postponed tonight’s meeting and Oakgrove Integrated College will close tomorrow.

Up to four inches more of the white stuff will fall overnight, says BBC NI weatherman Barra Best.

We are getting reports of difficult driving conditions across the city and county.

Roads in Creggan are treacherous – with footpaths causing concern for pedestrian. Bligh’s Lane is also in a poor condition as workers and school run parents jam the city.

The Limavady Road is described by Derry Daily readers as ‘treacherous’.

Roads in Tamnaherin, Claudy, Park, Drumsurn and Eglinton are also in a poor state.

Cars have been abandoned in many areas including in Rosemount where there gridlock.

Transport NI says gritting lorries will continue to work through the night to clear roads but more snow and ice is expected.

Temperatures in rural areas have already fallen to -5C according to a Derry Daily reader outside Ardmore.

And there is another weather alert.

A massive storm is set to hit the North West tomorrow and into Thursday.
