INSTITUTE WELCOME BALLYMENA TO THE RIVERSIDE STADIUM IN CRUCIAL CLASH

Institute FC welcome Ballymena United to the Riverside Stadium tomorrow afternoon in a crucial Danske Bank Northern Ireland Premiership clash.

Ballymena will be buoyed by the fact they secured their place in the League Final on Tuesday night.

They overcame Ballinamallard to reach their second cup final in the space of six months.

Institute suffered a heavy defeat against champions Cliftonville last week, but with two matches in-a-row at home against Ballymena and Warrenpoint, Institute will be looking for maximum points from both matches.

A victory on Saturday would set Paul Kee’s side up perfectly for their massive Boxing Day clash with fellow relegation strugglers and basement club Warrenpoint Town.

Institute have been performing well and are producing excellent football on a consistent basis but their Achilles heel as been their finishing in front of goals.

With star striker Stephen O’Flynn now transferred to Crusaders, Paul Kee has turned to inexperienced frontmen Paul McVeigh, Robbie Hume and Cormac Burke to get Institute firing again.

It’s an opportunity for the trio to stake their claim as regular and the side and to show their manager they’re capable of playing and scoring goals regularly in the team.

Institute are expected to have a fully fit squad available for action, with the long-term absentee Michael McCrudden still side-lined with a back problem.

Kick-off for this one is at 3pm.
