WEATHER WARNING: BLACK ICE ON ROADS

FORECASTERS have warned of the possibility of black ice on Derry’s roads overnight.

With skies clearing later tonight after the current band of rain moves through, air and ground temperatures are likely to drop sharply leading to black ice conditions forming on our roads.

This is likely to lead to hazardous conditions for drivers later on tonight and into tomorrow morning.

Black ice is particularly lethal as it is near impossible to see so the best advice is to slow down and keep your distance from other vehicles.
