Horse Meat Disco

Creating a musical backdrop for shows by Chanel and Louis Vuitton, club superstars Horse Meat Disco are now in big demand within the fashion industry – but the DJ maestros have still found time for an exclusive gig at Derry’s first ever Fashion Fest this weekend.

Glamour will fill historic St Columb’s Hall today for a superb Designer Fashion Showcase event featuring some of the island’s most celebrated designers – and with Horse Meat Disco promising an unforgettable after-party, this event looks set to be the hottest ticket in town! Fashionable folk and revellers can expect an evening of cutting-edge design, decadence and disco-infused tunes!

This will be no ordinary fashion show. We are the Music City, after all…

Drawing inspiration from New York’s heady club scene in the 70s & 80s, Horse Meat Disco now enjoy a unique reputation for throwing amazing parties with unmatchable sets. Such are their skills, the collective caught the eye (and ear!) of revered Parisian sound architect for Chanel, Mr Michel Gaubert, who enlisted them to play for Chanel worldwide.

Nowadays, the talented quartet is frequently found jetting off to DJ for brands as diverse as Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Lanvin, Acne and Diesel.

They also continue to trail-blaze their way through the global club scene with packed residencies at their HQ Eagle London, Cielo, New York, Prince Charles in Berlin and Silencio/Wanderlust in Paris, and festivals like Glastonbury, Bestival Isle of Wight, Lovebox, Parklife and Warehouse Project Manchester, Electric Elephant in Croatia, Vivid at Sydney Opera House and FYF Festival Los Angeles.

Expect all manner of dance-floor movers from classic to cosmic to deep disco, Italo, punk funk, house, even techno, electric bangers and just plain old rare oddities. Horse Meat Disco love to keep a healthy eye on the dance-floor whilst never forgetting growing current sounds.
