FIRST EVER FASHION FEST TAKES TO CATWALK TONIGHT

Derry’s first ever Fashion Fest takes to the catwalk this evening, kicking off a four day celebration of the local fashion industry.

The opening event in the newly relaunched Maldron Hotel (Tower Hotel) in Butcher Street will be a Winter Wonderland Collaboration Catwalk event and is the result of a special collaboration between several local retailers.

The event will feature a whole host of local talent, with a vibrant interactive catwalk experience provided by dancers and models from the Pink Ladies and Pink Panthers, and the Dance House, Spencer Road.

With hair and make-up styled by Rutledge (JD Salon), Hairspray and Addiction.

And there will be plenty to keep the audience entertained on the night courtesy of MC Mickey Doherty and live music from DJ Tomski, in a space transformed by  Ultimate Touches.

Entry is free although there will be a collection on the night for the Pink Ladies and Pink Panthers. Doors open at 6.30pm, with all the catwalk beginning at 7.00pm.

Industry Focus Workshop with speakers including Red or Dead founder Wayne Hemingway, designer and broadcaster Sonya Lennon, Judith Tolley, CEO Centre for Fashion Enterprise and Janet Holbrook of Peclers Paris.

Friday:

Wedding Fashion Showcase, 7.30pm, St Columb’s Cathedral

Saturday and Sunday:

Vintage Market, 11.00am – 6.00pm, Pump Street
Designer Fashion Showcase, 7.30pm, St Columb’s Hall

Sunday:

High Tea and Fancy Frocks, Prehen House
