Institute entertain Ballinamallard United in a crucial Danske Bank Premiership clash at Drumahoe this afternoon (kick off 3.00pm).
After an encouraging start to the season, Paul Kee’s side have slipped down the league and are currently fourth from the bottom.
Stute have 14 points, are just three above today’s opponents who, as a result of a superior goal difference, will go above the Derry side if they take all three points at the Riverside.
And, if the bottom two sides – Dungannon Swifts and Warrenpoint, who are on nine and eight points respectively – pick up maximum points it will mean Stute will have been well and truly dragged into the relegation dog-fight.
