Police are conducting searches in the Dungiven area of Co Derry for a male youth who has escaped from police custody.
The 15 year old, who is wearing a grey tracksuit and black shoes, escaped from a parked police car in the Glenshane Road area at around 4.25pm.
Chief Inspector Andy Lemon said: “The youth is not believed to pose a risk to the public and I would appeal to anyone with any information as to his whereabouts to contact police in Limavady on 101.”
He is the second prisoner to escape police custody in the past week.
Last week, a 40-year-old man being held in connection about burglaries in the Glenties area of Co Donegal, escaped while receiving treatment at Altnagelvin Hospital.
