DERRY DIOCESE 2015 CONFIRMATION DATES UNVEILED

confirmationDates for the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation across the Derry Diocese for 2015 have been announced.

The first ceremonies will take place in St Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn and Dungiven at 11.00am on Saturday, 7 January.

Children from the parish of Carnhill in Derry will be Confirmed at 3.00pm on the same day.

The ceremony for children in the Galliagh area of Derry will take place in St Joseph’s Church at 3.00pm the following day, Sunday 8 January.

Ceremonies will be held in St Eugene’s Cathedral at 11.00am and 3.00pm on Saturday, 7 February;  St Columba’s Church, Long Tower, at 11.00am on Saturday, 28 February; St Mary’s (Creggan) at 3.00pm on Sunday, 14 March; Strathfoyle and Glendermott at 11.00am and 3.00pm respectively on Sunday, 22 March; Culmore at 5.00pm on Thursday, 7 April.

Confirmation for Special Needs children will take place in St Joseph’s Church in Galliagh at 3.00pm on Saturday, 14 March.

The Irish Confirmation ceremony will be held in St Columba’s Church, Long Tower, at 12.00 noon on Saturday, 28 March.

The final ceremony will take place in the Parish of Donagheady (Dunamanagh) at 2.00pm on Sunday, 17 May.
