Nine people were arrested at last night’s DJ Snoopadelic concert in Derry by rapper Snoop Dogg.

Despite the arrests, police in the city say the Ebrington Square event was a “great evening, enjoyed by all.”

Two youths aged 16 and 17, from Co Armagh, were arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class B drug; possessing it with intent to supply; and conspiracy to supply a Class B drug.

They were later bailed pending further enquiries.

Separately, a man 23-year-old man from Derry was arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class B drug and is to be reported to the Public Prosecution Service.

A further six arrests were made for public order offences.

The PSNI have revealed its City Centre Team along with officers from the PSNI Dog Section and Local Response helped to police the venue and surrounding area throughout the evening.

A police spokesperson said: “For the most part it was a great evening enjoyed by all.”

The spokesperson added if anyone had any information about drugs or other offences, they should contact police on the 101 non-emergency telephone number.
