The son of the elderly couple whose bodies were found in their Carndonagh home yesterday morning is due to appear in court this evening charged in connection with their deaths.
Jimmy (77) and Kathleen Cuddihy (73) were found with horrific injuries at their Churchtown home at around 9.00am.
Their 42-year-old son, Julian, was arrested a short time later and taken to Buncrana Garda Station for questioning under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
He is due to appear before a special sitting of Ballyshannon District Court at 9.30pm this evening.
