The burglars ran off in direction of Peace Bridge.
Two burglars fled a house in the Waterside area of Derry at the weekend after they were challenged by a resident, police in the city have revealed.
The incident occurred in a house at Browning Drive at 7.00am on Saturday.
The pair ran off in the direction of the Peace Bridge, accompanied by a third man who had been outside.
PSNI Detective Constable Richard Donnell said information could given on the police non-emergency 101 telephone number.
Alternatively, it could be provided to the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
