A Sinn Féin delegation has met with the PSNI to discuss a number of recent incidents of anti-social behaviour at Garag Hill in Castlederg.

The meeting took place after Councillors Maolíosa and Ruairí McHugh said they had been contacted about a number of antisocial behaviour incidents in the area.

They believe the recent upsurge of anti-social behaviour which saw a number of incidents taking place are linked.

Cllr Maolíosa McHugh said:  “I have been inundated with calls regarding these incidents in Garag Hill.

“This kind of behaviour is totally unacceptable and should end immediately.

“I have expressed my concerns in relation to the criteria used by letting agents regarding who is being accepted as tenants. ”

Cllr McHugh concluded “I have been reassured that attention will be paid to addressing antisocial behaviour in the area and will be monitored by the PSNI regularly.”
