Detectives in Derry are appealing for information following the report of a creeper burglary in the Waterside area of Derry in the early hours of yesterday morning.
It was reported that at approximately 3.00am, an intruder entered a residential property at Stoney Wood in the Victoria Road area by an unlocked door, took a set of car keys and then drove off in the family car, a white Vauxhall Mokka.
The car was later recovered across the border in the Buncrana area.
Detective Constable Douglas has appealed for information.
He said: “I would ask anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact Foyle CID on the non-emergency number, 101.
“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
