HEAD OF RADIOTHERAPY SERVICES SOUGHT FOR ALTNAGELVIN

Altnagelvin Hospital.

The Western Heath and Social Services Trust is looking to recruit a Head for its Radiotheapy Physics Service.

The post, which carries an annual salary between £65,900 and £81,600, will be based at the new state of the art Radiotherapy Unit at Altnagelvin Hospial in Derry.

The construction of the unit is due to be completed by next year with commissioning of the equipment to follow, and the unit in operation by mid-2016.

The Trust is seeking an experienced clinical scientist to lead and manage its team throughout the detailed planning, commissioning and implementation of the radiotherapy physics department.

The successful candidate will also and take overall responsibility for the medical physics service at the Trust

It is anticipated that the successful post-holder will undertake a period of familiarisation at the Radiotherapy Department at Northern Ireland Cancer Centre at Belfast City.
