Former Derry City star and manager, Felix Healy, is back on our television screens.

The Derry man is the presenter on Derry County Matters,  a weekly magazine-type show to be broadcast on the satellite Showcase channel.

Irish TV is Ireland’s new live digital media platform, broadcasting 24 hours a day across the globe.

Felix said he was excited and looking forward to bringing stories from Derry to a worldwide audience.

He said: “Although, I only started last week we have been inundated with stories already and have already recorded two shows in the last few days.

“I’m looking forward to working with this new enterprise of which great things are being predicted.”

Felix is no stranger to presenting.

Following his retirement from a successful footballing career both as a player and manager, he was a presenter on the Derry-based Channel 9 television station in the late 1990s.

More recently, we was a presenter/soccer pundit with Setanta Ireland and manager of the local Drive 105 radio station, hosting a daily afternoon show.

The first of the weekly Derry County Matters programmes will be screened tonight at 7.00pm on Showcase channel, Sky 191.
