The young frontman scored a number of  important goals for Harps during his time in the Airtricity First Division but has now opted to try his hand in the Danske Bank Premiership after departing Finn Park.

Speaking before last night’s League Cup win over Dollingstown, McVeigh said he was “delighted” to have signed with Paul Kee’s for the remainder of the season.

He added: “My clearance has even come through for tonight’s match and I’m buzzing.”

He becomes the second former Harps player to cross the border – midfielder Mark Forker signed for the Drumahoe club at the start of the season.
