The low handicappers took the spoils yesterday in near perfect conditions after the poor weather of late.
Big hitting Lester Moore (1) took first place with 39 points beating Vincent Devenny (8) also on 39 points, Lester’s three birdies on the back nine giving him an extra two points over Vincent’s back nine to clinch it on the beak-of-tie.
Ernie Heywood (2) took third spot with 38 points.
Leslie Dickson (9) mastered the difficult wet conditions on Saturday morning to score a very credible 42 points to win the Club Stableford competition
In second place was James Kilgore (12) with 40 points.
Ian Anthony(5) took third place with 39 points beating fourth place
Eamon McCourt (10) also on 39 pts by a break-of-tie with a better back nine score.
