INJURIES AND SUSPENSIONS LEAVE HARPS THREADBARE IN WATERFORD

Michael Funston: injured.

Michael Funston: injured.

Finn Harps manager Ollie Horgan has a threadbare squad to choose from for tonight’s Airtricity First Division clash with Waterford United at the RCS.

Damien McNulty, Packie Mailey and Caoimhe Bonner miss out through suspension while Gareth Harkin is ruled out due to work commitments and Michael Funston and Darragh Black will not make the long trip south due to injury.

It nleaves Horgan without five regular starters, and with a number of players leaving the club recently it leaves his squad very thin for what is always a difficult fixture.

A win tonight would keep them in the hunt for promotion, especially with winnable games against Cobh Ramblers and Shamrock Rovers B in the next few weeks.

A victory would also boost confidence ahead of next week’s FAI Cup tie against Wexford Youths.
