Lee Casey: returned for trial.

A Derry GP has been returned for trial after appearing at a preliminary enquiry at the city’s Magistrates Court on sex abuse charges.

Dr Lee Casey (51), of Mansfield Grove in the city, denied two charges of indecently assaulting two girls between 1 October 2005 and 31 October 2006..

The accused, who practices out of  the Oakleaf medical group in Great James’ Street Health Centre, replied “definitely not guilty” when asked if he had anything to say in answer to the charges and “not at this stage” when asked if he wished to give evidence, call witnesses or tender documents.

He was released on his own bail of £200 to appear before Derry Crown Court next month.
