Tony’s Bhoys keeper Patrick Quigley closes down a Top of the Hill chance in their quarter-final clash.


The semi-finals of the Tony Quigley/Shakes McDowell Memorial Cup will take place tonight at the Magee playing fields on Duncreggan Road in Derry.

Holders Celtic Swifts take on Ballymac at 6.30pm.

The Creggan side began the defence of the trophy with a comfortable 5-2 win over Ardmore in their quarter-final clash while Ballymac defeated Strand United in their last eight clash.

Tristar face Top of the Hill Celtic in the other semi, which kicks off at 7.30pm.

In the quarter-finals, the Waterside men hammered Tony’s Bhoys 8-0 while Tristar saw off the challenge of Derry City with a 3-1 victory.
